Well, can you believe it is that time of year again already? The Tucson Gem show is upon us. This year we have been lucky enough to have a fantastic boulder opal mining season, split between our beloved Yaraka opal mine and just starting out at our newly acquired opal site, The Russell’s. So, there are lots of new opal gemstones and opal specimens to be seen!

We will be at three different shows this year; the Kino Gem & Mineral Show, Pueblo Gem & Mineral Show (PGMS) and the Tuscon Gem & Mineral Show (TGMS). Our Kino stock will include rough boulder opal, opal rubs, beads, boulder opal specimens of all shapes and sizes, and lower grade loose boulder opal gemstones. Our PGMS and TGMS stock will include our commercial, gem and top gem grade boulder opals gemstones (including black boulder opal), fantastic opal pairs and sets and some top opal specimens.

Sue and her small team use environmentally responsible procedures in mining and processing all BRM opals. We mine small sections of land at a time and we always rejuvenate the land when we are done. All BRM opals are mined by us in Queensland, Australia. Sue and her team are all in-house experts that use traditional techniques to find, block, cut and polish all our opal gemstones and opal specimens.
